Miha Lapornik (ex Arriva P.Cukier) agreed terms with Cantabria

Grupo Alega Cantabria Torrelavega (Primera FEB) strengthened their roster with the addition of 32-year-old Slovenian ex-international 194cm guard Miha Lapornik, agency: PEPI SPORT. He started the season at Arriva P.Cukier in the Polish OBL league. In 8 games, he recorded 8.8ppg, 2.6rpg, and 2.5apg. Last season, he played at Burgos.
He was also a member of the Slovenian international program for some years. Lapornik played for Slovenian Senior National Team between 2014 and 2024 and previously for the Under 20 National Team back in 2013.
He also represented Slovenia at the FIBA World Cup 2023 European Qualifiers three years ago. During this event, he scored an average of 8 points per game and had 1 rebound per game.
Lapornik is a very experienced player. He has played in Holland, Hungary (Debreceni Egyetem), Lithuania (Pieno Zvaigzdes Pasvalys), Romania (Cluj Napoca), Slovakia (Levice), Slovenia (Petrol Olimpija Ljubljana, Krka and Zlatorog) and Spain (Surne Bilbao) during his career.
In 2024, he was voted to Eurobasket.com All-Spanish LEB Gold Honorable Mention among many awards.
