BC Prievidza (Tipos SBL) has added 22-year-old American guard Johnathan Massie to their roster for the 2026-27 season. Massie, who is 198cm and 85kg, played college basketball at N.Texas and is represented by Ten18 Management. He will be joining fellow American player Jalen Smith on the team. Massie's impressive performance last season at Sport Klub Tirana Neptun in the Albanian Superliga included averaging 21.7ppg, 6.0rpg, 3.1apg, and 2.0spg in 27 games. He was instrumental in helping his team reach both the league and Cup finals, finishing the regular season as the second-best team. Massie's outstanding season earned him multiple accolades, including being named Eurobasket.com All-Albanian League Import Player of the Year, Eurobasket.com All-Albanian League Defensive Player of the Year, and Eurobasket.com All-Albanian League Player of the Year.
He graduated from the University of North Texas in 2025 and is currently in his second season as a professional player. Massie played for other colleges such as Longwood College and McNeese State University.
