Handlova keeps Durecko for another season

Viliam Durecko

MBK Banik Handlova (Tipos SBL) re-signed 20-year old 194cm small forward Viliam Durecko for the upcoming season. He played there last season, but in 32 Tipos SBL games, he recorded just 0.9ppg. The previous (2024-25) season, he played at another Slovakian team NEXTGEN Slovakia. He also played for another Slovakian team BC Slovan Bratislava earlier that season.
Durecko represented Slovakia at the FIBA U18 European Championship Division B in Matosinhos (Portugal) three years ago. During this event, he scored an average of 2.4 points per game and had 3.9 rebounds per game.
He has played previously for three other teams: Inter Bratislava U20 team, Inter Bratislava U17 team, and Slovak Selection.
Durecko played in the final of EYBL U20 in 2024.
