Jeremy McLaughlin (ex Handlova) agreed terms with Hawks

Hawkes Bay Hawks (NBL) bolstered their roster by adding 30-year-old American 203cm power forward Jeremy McLaughlin (college: Catawba). He most recently played for MBK Banik Handlova in the Slovakian Tipos SBL, where he averaged 10.7ppg and 4.3rpg in 26 games last season. During the previous summer, he competed for Asociacion Basquetbol Ancud (LNB) in the Chilean league.
He is a very experienced player. Thanks to his pro career, he managed to play on four different continents (Europe, Latin America, Australia, and North America) in ten different countries. McLaughlin has played professionally in Argentina (Jujuy), Australia (South West Metro Pirates), Azerbaijan (Nakhchivan), Chile (CD Espanol Osorno), Cyprus (APOP Paphou), Estonia (Tallinn Kalev), Greece, Mexico (Correcaminos), and Czech Republic (GBA Lions Jindrichuv Hradec).
Among many awards, he played in the final of the Azerbaijani League in 2024. He was also voted the Eurobasket.com All-Czech Republic 1Liga Forward of the Year in 2020.
McLaughlin graduated from Catawba College in 2019 and is currently in his seventh season in pro basketball.
