Zenit Saint Petersburg (VTB United League) confirmed in their roster 31-year old USA ex-international guard Xavier Moon (188cm-75kg-1995, college: Morehead State). He played there last season. In 24 VTB United League games he had 13.5ppg, 4.0rpg, 5.0apg and 1.2spg. He helped them to make it to the Supercup semifinals. Good season as he was named League Player of the Week and named to Eurobasket.com VTB United League Second Team. The previous (2024) summer he played at Magic in U.S. semi-pro league NBA Summer League.
Moon also represented the USA at the FIBA World Cup 2023 Americas Qualifiers three years ago. During this event, he scored an average of 12.5 ppg and had 1 rpg.
He is quite an experienced player. Moon has played professionally in Canada (London Lightning and Stingers), France (ALM Evreux), Israel (Maccabi Hod Hasharon), NBA (LA Clippers), TBL (Albany), NBA G League (San Diego Clippers), The Basketball Tournament (Atlanta Dirty S.), and NBA Summer League (LA Clippers).
In addition to winning the NBA G League Showcase Cup in 2023, he was voted Eurobasket.com All-Israeli National League Guard of the Year in 2021.
Moon graduated from Morehead State in 2017 and it will be his ninth season as a pro player. He played also for Northwest Florida State College for 2 years.
