UNICS Kazan strengthened their roster with the addition of 25-year-old American swingman Ty Brewer. He started the season at NINERS Chemnitz in the German BBL league. The team played in three different competitions that year, and he had a chance to explore basketball on different levels. In 12 BBL games, he recorded 12.9ppg, 3.4rpg, and 1.1apg. He also played 12 games in Eurocup, where he averaged 8.4ppg, 3.7rpg, and 1.4spg. Last summer, he played for Thunder in the U.S. semi-pro league NBA Summer League.
Brewer has played professionally in Greece between stints with Panerythraikos and Esperos GS Lamias.
In 2025, his team won the German Bundesliga Cup. In 2024, he was voted to the Eurobasket.com Greek Elite League All-Defensive Team.
Brewer graduated from UAB in 2023 and it's his third season as a pro player. He played for other colleges such as ETSU and Southeastern Louisiana University.
