Jaen Paraiso Interior CB (Segunda FEB) signed 27-year-old Russian ex-international 208cm forward Mark Tikhonenko (college: Chattanooga, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov). He last played at Irkut in the Russian Superleague, averaging 9.3ppg, 4.9rpg, and 1.4apg in 18 games last season. Tikhonenko also had a stint with Class Sant Antoni Ibiza earlier that season.
Tikhonenko was also a member of the Russian international program for some years. He played for Russian Senior National Team in 2022 and previously for the Under 16 National Team in 2014.
Tikhonenko has traveled extensively during his pro career, playing in Europe, Asia, and North America. He has played professionally in Kazakhstan (Astana) and Kazakhstan.
Tikhonenko's team won the VTB United League Regular Season in 2024. He was voted to the Asia-Basket.com All-Kazakhstan League Honorable Mention in 2022.
He graduated from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga in 2021, and it will be his fifth season in pro basketball. Tikhonenko played for other colleges such as Sam Houston State University and the University of North Texas.
