Defending champion PBC CSKA Moscow (VTB United League) signed 32-year-old Serbian international 206cm center Luka Mitrovic, who played for Crvena zvezda in the Serbian KLS league for the last four years. Mitrovic played in three leagues last year, averaging 10.5ppg, 6.5rpg, and 2.0apg in two KLS games, helping his team reach the semifinals. He also played 25 games in Euroleague with 5.6ppg and 2.9rpg, and contributed to 27 games in ABA League with 6.9ppg, 4.2rpg, and 1.4apg.
In 2015, he was drafted by the Philadelphia 76ers (NBA) in the second round (60th overall).
Mitrovic has been a member of the Serbian international program for some years. He has regularly played for the Serbian senior team since 2014 and previously for the Under 20 National Team in 2013.
Mitrovic also represented Serbia at the FIBA World Cup 2023 European Qualifiers two years ago. However, his stats during that event were not impressive as he did not score any points.
He is a very experienced player. Mitrovic has played also in Germany (Bamberg), Israel (Hapoel Jerusalem), Montenegro (Buducnost) and Spain (UCAM and BAXI Manresa).
Among many awards, he was voted to Eurobasket.com All-Serbian League Honorable Mention in 2024.
