Summary of the Case:

The Serbian Player, Stefan Jovic (198-G-1990, agency: BeoBasket), and his Agency, Wasserman Media Group LLC, filed a claim against the Russian Club, BC Khimki, for outstanding salaries, tax certificates, agent fees and interest. The Claimants submitted that the Respondent failed to comply with the terms of the Player Contract and the Agency Agreement resulting in outstanding salaries and agent fees respectively being due. In its Answer, the Respondent acknowledged that it owed the outstanding salaries but not in the amount originally claimed by the Player (which was accepted by the Player) and the date claimed by the Claimant (which was not accepted by the Player) and argued that the Agency was not entitled to agent fees requested due to the fact that the agent fees were owed to another company and, regardless were not due because of a conflict of interest on the part of the agent involved as he acted on behalf of both the Player and the Respondent. The claim was upheld.
