Adelaide 36ers (NBL) landed experienced 34-year old USA international 193cm guard John Jenkins (college: Vanderbilt, agency: Slash Sports). He started the season at Valcea in Romanian Liga Nationala. In 5 games he averaged impressive 23.8ppg, 1.6rpg and 1.8apg. The last season summer he played at Cangrejeros (BSN) in Puerto Rican league.
In 2012 he was drafted by Atlanta Hawks (NBA) in first round (23rd overall). The former Vanderbilt University standout is in his 14th (!!!) season in pro basketball.
He has been also a member of the USA international program for some years. Jenkins has regularly played for the USA senior team since 2018 and previously for the University National Team back in 2011.
He represented USA at the FIBA World Cup 2023 Americas Qualifiers three years ago. During this event he scored an average of 18.3 points per game and had 1.3 rebounds per game.
Jenkins is a very experienced player. And here thanks to pro basketball he experienced life in ten different countries playing on four different continents. He is familiar with European, Asian, Latin American and of course North American leagues. Jenkins has played professionally in China (Jiangsu Dragons), France (Gravelines Dunkerque), Israel (Hapoel Eilat), Puerto Rico (Criollos), Russia (Lokomotiv), Spain (Burgos, Surne Bilbao and Basquet Girona), Turkey (Tofas), NBA (Dallas Mavericks, Portland Trail Blazers, NY Knicks, Phoenix Suns and Washington Wizards) and NBA G League (Westchester Knicks, Capital City Go-Go and G League Ignite).
