Maktown inks Tyrell Corbin, ex Black Dragons

Maktown Flyers Makurdi (PBL) signed 33-year-old American point guard Tyrell Corbin (185cm-84kg-1992, college: CSUB) for the upcoming 2026 season. He joins another USA player JC Butler who is already on the roster. Corbin was the best passer at Black Dragons in the Hong Kong T4 league.
During part of last summer, he spent time at Rajawali Jakarta in the Indonesian IBL, where in 5 games he had 11.8ppg, 3.4rpg, 5.0apg, and 2.2spg. He also played for San Carlos (TBS) in the Dominican Republic league.
He is a highly experienced player. Corbin has played in ten different countries on four different continents (Europe, Asia, Latin America, and North America). He has played professionally in Canada (Surge), Cyprus (Koop Spor), Georgia (Margveti), Indonesia (Bima Perkasa), Montenegro (Jedinstvo), Russia (Novosibirsk), Slovakia (Lucenec), Albania (Kamza), and NBA G League (NAZ Suns and Stockton Kings). His team won the Dominican Republic TBS Regular Season in 2025.
Among many awards, he was voted to Eurobasket.com All-Georgian League Honorable Mention back in 2022.
Corbin graduated from California State University Bakersfield in 2015 and it will be his eleventh (!!!) season as a professional player. He played for other colleges like Salt Lake Community College and the University of California - Davis.
