Defending champion KK Partizan Mozzart Bet Beograd (KLS) strengthened their roster with the addition of 31-year-old Nigerian ex-international center Tonye Jekiri (212cm-111kg-1994, college: Miami, FL). He started the season at PBC CSKA Moscow in the Russian VTB United League, where he has played for the last three years. Jekiri helped them win the Supercup.
He has tried to make it to the NBA and played in the NBA Pro Summer League in 2016. Jekiri was a member of the Nigerian Senior National Team between 2019 and 2020.
He is quite an experienced player. Jekiri has played professionally in Belgium (Oostende), France (ASVEL Lyon Villeurbanne Basket), Spain (Baskonia), and Turkey (Fenerbahce, Gaziantep, and TEKSUT Bandirma BK).
He was voted to the French ProA All-Star Game in 2020.
Jekiri graduated from the University of Miami in 2016 and it's his 10th season as a pro player.
