Taipei Fubon Braves (PLeague+) inked 30-year old American 198cm guard Jabari Bird (college: California). He started the season at Johor Tigers in Malaysian MBL league. In 10 games he was the best scorer with impressive 21.1ppg and recorded 6.4rpg, 3.7apg and 1.8spg. He helped them to win the league title. A very good season in his career as he was awarded Asia-Basket.com All-Malaysian MBL Finals MVP, League Player of the Week (2 times) and voted to Asia-Basket.com All-Malaysian MBL First Team. Part of last summer he spent at Hotshots (PBA) in Filipino league. Bird also played for Rajawali Jakarta (IBL) in Indonesian league. In 2017 he was drafted by Boston Celtics (NBA) in second round (56th overall). He graduated from University of California and it is his eighth season in pro basketball. Bird is a very experienced player. He has quite traveled the world as his pro career brought him to six different countries on three different continents (Asia, Latin America and of course North America).
