Black Star sign a second USA player, ex Gostivar

BBC Black Star Mersch (Nationale 2) signed 26-year-old American 196cm forward Desean Hampton (college: IU Kokomo). He joins another USA player Kurt James who is already on the team. He was the top scorer at KK Gostivar in North Macedonian Prva Liga. In 11 games, he averaged 8.1ppg, 6.2rpg, 1.5apg, 1.1spg, and 1.9bpg last season. He helped them reach the North Macedonian Cup Semifinals. He also played for another North Macedonian team KK Vardar Skopje (Prva Liga).
Hampton has played professionally in Ireland (Panthers) and Luxembourg (Black Frogs).
Hampton's college team won the RSC Tournament in 2022. He received the All-RSC Player of the Year award in 2022.
Hampton graduated from Indiana University Kokomo in 2022, marking his fourth season in pro basketball. He also played for Wabash Valley College for one year.
