University of Tennessee at Martin inked 19-year old Lithuanian 6-9 center Arminas Vilkas for the upcoming season. He played most recently at BC Rytas Vilnius 2nd team in the Lithuanian NKL league. In 35 games, he recorded 9.7ppg, 5.7rpg, 1.2apg, and 1.0bpg last season. For the two previous seasons (2023-25), he played at another Lithuanian team Vilkaviskio Perlas (also in NKL). He also played for another Lithuanian team Rytas Vilnius U19 team (BCLJ) in Lithuania. Additionally, he briefly played for other Lithuanian teams such as Tornado KM Kaunas U18 team (U18 League), Zalgiris Kaunas U18 team (U19 League), and Basketball School Tornado 2007 U16 team (D7) in Lithuania. In the 2024-25 year, he averaged 4.4ppg and 2.8rpg in 43 games and helped his team reach the Lithuanian U18 League final. Vilkas was voted to Euro
He represented Lithuania at the FIBA U17 World Cup in Istanbul (Turkey) two years ago. His team reached the Semifinals and he averaged nearly 2 points per game.
Despite his young age, Vilkas had an impressive career. He won the Youth Basketball League championship title in 2025 and was also named to the Adidas Next Generation Tournament in Munich All-Tournament Team in the same year.
