Boise State University added 22-year-old Lithuanian forward Dovydas Butka (6'9''-216lbs) to their roster. He is the second foreign player on the team, with Senegalese Aginaldo Neto signing earlier. Butka, a native of Panevezys, Lithuania, transferred from Campbell University where he played his freshman year. Last season, he averaged 14.0ppg, 8.6rpg, 2.6apg, and 1.2spg in 27 games. He helped his team reach the CAA Tournament Semifinals in 2026.
Butka played also at Zalgiris Kaunas 3rd team between 2020-21, Panevezio KKSC/R.Sarguno SG U18 team during 2020-21, Zalgiris Kaunas U18 team during 2021-23, Panevezio R.Sarguno SG/KKSC U19 team during 2022-23, Zalgiris Kaunas 2nd team during 2022-23, B.C. Zalgiris Kaunas during 2023-24 and then at Pepperdine University for one season. His team won Lithuanian U19 League and Lithuanian U18 League Regular Season Championships in 2021. He helped his team make it to the Adidas Next Generation Tournament in Istanbul Semifinals and Lithuanian U18 League Finals that year. His team won Lithuanian NKL Championship in 2023. Butka helped his team make it to the Adidas Next Generation Tournament in Ljubljana Finals in 2022. His team played in the WCC Tournament Semifinals in 2025.
He represented Lithuania at the FIBA U20 European Championship in Greece three years ago. During this event, he scored an average of 7.9 points per game and had 6 rebounds per game.
