Echodas comes back to Rytas, ex ALBA

BC Rytas Vilnius (LKL) signed 28-year-old Lithuanian ex-international 206cm center Martynas Echodas. He returns to Vilnius, where he previously played. Echodas began the season with ALBA Berlin in the German BBL league, competing in three different competitions. In 13 BBL games, he averaged 3.3ppg and 1.7rpg, helping the team reach the cup final. He also played 6 games in the Basketball Champions League, averaging 2.8ppg and 1.7rpg. Last season, he played for Glint Manisa Basket (BSL) in the Turkish league.
He was also a member of the Lithuanian international program for some years. Echodas played for the Lithuanian Senior National Team between 2018 and 2024 and previously for the Under 20 National Team in 2017.
He also represented Lithuania at the FIBA World Cup 2023 European Qualifiers three years ago. During this event, he scored an average of 7.1 points per game and had 5 rebounds per game.
Echodas is a very experienced player who has played in Germany, Italy (Umana Venezia), Turkey, and Lithuania (Siauliai and Zalgiris Kaunas 2nd team).
Echodas won the Lithuanian League championship title in 2024. He was also voted to Eurobasket.com All-Lithuanian LKL Domestic Player of the Year in 2023.
