Al-Zuhairi comes back to Al-Difaa, ex Amman United

Defending champion Al-Difaa Aljawie (Superleague) strengthened their roster with the addition of 28-year-old Iraqi international power forward Ihab Al-Zuhairi (210cm-1998). It is actually his comeback to Al-Difaa as he has played there before. He moved there from Amman United in the Jordanian Premier League where he played this season. In two games, he recorded 9.0ppg, 3.5rpg, 2.5apg, and 1.0bpg.
He has also been a member of the Iraqi international program for some years. Al-Zuhairi has regularly played for the Iraqi senior team since 2016 and previously for the Under 18 National Team in 2016.
He represented Iraq at the FIBA Asia Cup in Jeddah (Saudi Arabia) last year. During this event, he scored an average of 7.3 points per game and had 8 rebounds per game.
Al-Zuhairi is a highly experienced player who has also played in Jordan, Lebanon (Batroun), Uruguay (Larranaga), and Iraq (Al Hilla, Al Karkh, Al Naft, and Air Defence Sporting Club).
Among many awards, he was voted Asia-Basket.com All-Iraqi League Defensive Player of the Year in 2025.
