Yukatel Merkezefendi Belediyesi Basket Denizli (BSL) signed 27-year old Latvian international point guard Kristers Zoriks (193cm-93kg-1998, college: SMC) after he was tested there shortly. He just played at Old Wild West Udine in Italian BSL league. In 6 games he had only 2.8ppg, 1.2rpg and 3.2apg this season. He also played for Lleida (Liga Endesa) in Spanish league.
Zoriks has been a member of the Latvian international program for several years. He has played for the Latvian senior team since 2020 and previously for the Under 20 National Team in 2018.
Zoriks also represented Latvia at the FIBA Olympic Games Qualifying Tournament in Riga (Latvia) two years ago. During this event, he scored an average of 7.7 points per game and had 1.7 rebounds per game.
He is a very experienced player. Zoriks has also played professionally in France (Le Portel), Spain, Latvia (VEF Riga), and Turkey (Petkimspor).
He won the Latvian-Estonian Basketball League championship title in 2022. He was also named to the Eurobasket.com Latvian-Estonian Basketball League All-Tournament Team in 2023.
Zoriks graduated from Saint Mary's College of California in 2020 and is currently in his sixth season as a professional player.
