Karlis Silins

Neptunas Klaipeda (LKL) signed 28-year-old Latvian international 210cm power forward Karlis Silins (college: FAU). He began the season at Trabzonspor in the Turkish BSL league, where he averaged 4.0ppg and 1.1rpg in 8 games. Last season, he played for Leyma Basquet Coruna in the Spanish league and Giorgio Tesi Group Pistoia in the Italian league.
Silins has been a member of the Latvian international program for some years. He has regularly played for the Latvian senior team since 2022 and previously for the Under 20 National Team in 2016.
Silins is a very experienced player. He has played professionally in Germany (BG Goettingen), Italy, Latvia (Liepaja), and Spain.
Between winning awards, Silins' college team made it to the Latvian Cup final in 2023. He was voted to Eurobasket.com All-German Bundesliga Honorable Mention in 2024.
Having graduated from Florida Atlantic University in 2021, Silins is currently in his fifth season in pro basketball. He also played for The University of Mississippi for 3 years.
