Miasto Szkla Krosno (OBL) signed 35-year-old Latvian international Martins Laksa, a 200cm small forward. Laksa, who played for Tauron GTK Gliwice for the past two years, averaged 12.6ppg, 4.1rpg, and 1.2apg in 27 OBL games last season.
He has also been a member of the Latvian international program for some years. Laksa has regularly played for the Latvian senior team since 2012 and previously for the Under 20 National Team in 2010.
He also represented Latvia at the FIBA World Cup 2023 European Qualifiers three years ago. During this event, he scored an average of 4 ppg and had 3 rpg.
Laksa has played for teams in Germany, Hungary, Lithuania, Spain, and Latvia. He has experience playing for 46ers, Alba, Jonava, Estudiantes, Monbus Obradoiro, Valmiera, Ventspils, Jurmala, and VEF Riga.
Among many awards, his team made it to the Lithuanian League Semifinals in 2023. Laksa was voted to Eurobasket.com All-Baltic League Honorable Mention back in 2017. It may be one of the last seasons in his extensive career, which he may end at Krosno.
