BC Spartak Pleven (NBL) strengthened their roster with addition of 33-year old American point guard Isiah Umipig (183cm-88kg-1992, college: Seattle). He started the season at KB Rahoveci in Kosovan Superliga. In 14 games he recorded very impressive stats: 15.3ppg, 2.2rpg, 5.0apg and 1.6spg.
In 2016 (a year after his graduation) he was drafted by Maine Red Claws (D-League) in third round (46th overall).
He graduated from Seattle University in 2015 and it is his eleventh (!!!) season in pro basketball.
Umipig is quite experienced player. Thanks to his pro career he managed to play on three different continents (Europe, Asia and of course North America) in eleven different countries. He has played professionally in Belgium (Limburg United), Kosovo (Bashkimi and Peja), Lebanon (Mayrouba), Lithuania (Prienu), Slovakia (MBK Rieker Com Therm Komarno and Iskra Svit), Switzerland (Nyon), Turkey (Duzce, Konyaspor, Manisa and Merkezefendi), Ukraine (Krivbas), North Macedonia (Rabotnicki), Bulgaria (Akademik Plovdiv) and Canada (Titans).
Among many awards Umipig's team made it to the Macedonian League Semifinals in 2023. Umipig was voted to All-Turkish TBL Honorable Mention back in 2020.
