Shannon Shorter

KB Bashkimi Prizren (Superliga) added experienced 36-year-old American shooting guard Shannon Shorter (193cm-96kg-1989, college: N.Texas) to their roster. Shorter was the top scorer at Fuerza Regia in the Mexican LNBP, averaging 9.7ppg, 3.6rpg, 3.4apg, and 1.0spg in 42 games last season, helping them win the LNBP title. He was voted to Latinbasket.com All-Mexican LNBP Honorable Mention. Shorter also played for KK Split (Premijer Liga) in the Croatian league, averaging 12.0ppg, 5.4rpg, 3.1apg, and 1.0spg in 42 games. He was selected to Eurobasket.com All-Croatian League All-Imports Team, League Player of the Week, and Eurobasket.com All-Croatian League First Team after helping his team reach the Croatian League final.
Shorter is a highly experienced player who has played on six continents and in fifteen countries during his pro career. He has played professionally in Argentina, Australia, China, Croatia, France, Greece, Israel, Japan, Lebanon, Turkey, South Korea, Egypt, The Basketball Tournament, and Big3.
He has won numerous awards, including being voted Eurobasket.com All-Croatian Premijer Liga Import Player of the Year in 2024. It is likely that he will retire while playing for Bashkimi.
He graduated from the University of North Texas in 2012 and it will be his 14th (!!!) season as a professional player. Shorter played for other colleges like Paris Junior College and Texas A&M University Corpus Christi.
