Mezher is back at Sagesse, ex Akita NH

Ali Mezher

Sagesse - Al Hekmeh Beirut (DLBL) signed 32-year old Lebanese international point guard Ali Mezher (182cm-1994). It is actually his comeback to Beirut as he has played here before. He moved there from Akita Northern Happinets in Japanese B1 League where he played this season. In 45 games he had 5.3ppg, 1.8rpg and 3.1apg. The last season he played at Beirut Club (LBL).
He has also been a member of the Lebanese international program for some years. Mezher has regularly played for the Lebanese senior team since 2016 and previously for the Under 18 National Team in 2012.
He also represented Lebanon at the FIBA Asia Cup in Jeddah (Saudi Arabia) last year. During this event, he scored an average of 1.5 points per game and had 2.5 rebounds per game.
Mezher has played for two other Lebanese teams before: Maristes and Hoops.
In 2024, his team reached the Dubai International Tournament Semifinals. He was selected for the Asia-Basket.com Lebanese League All-Domestic Players Team in 2024.
