Tabiat (Superleague) signed experienced 36-year old American (has also Bissau-Guinean passport) point guard
Parrish Petty (185cm-86kg-1988, college:
UTRGV). Petty is the second import player in the roster as Croatian
Ivan Buva signed here earlier.
He played last summer at
City Oilers in Ugandan NBL league. He managed to play in three leagues in two countries last year. The team played in three different competitions (!!!) that year, and he had a chance to explore basketball on different levels. In 5 NBL games he recorded very impressive stats: 18.6ppg, 4.8rpg, 2.2apg and 2.6spg. He helped them to win the league title. Petty also played 5 games in Basketball Africa League where he averaged remarkable 22.2ppg, 8.0rpg, 4.6apg and 1.6spg. And finally he contributed to 5 games in Basketball Africa League where he got high stats: 18.0ppg, 5.4rpg, 3.0apg and 3.4spg. The last season he played at
Mahram in Iranian Superleague. In 18 games he got high stats: 20.9ppg, 5.6rpg, 3.3apg and 2.1spg. He contributed to his team making it to the semifinals. Good season as he was named League Player of the Week (2 times) and named to Asia-Basket.com All-Iranian Superleague Third Team.
Petty is quite experienced player. He has played in thirteen different countries on five different continents (Europe, Asia, Latin America, Africa and of course North America). Petty has played previously professionally in Belarus (BC Minsk), France (Sluc Nancy), Greece (Apollon Patras and Ifaistos), Hungary (Kormend and Szolnok), Italy (RO Virtus and Pesaro), Lebanon (Moutahed), Lithuania (Dzukija), Romania (Giurgiu), Slovakia (Zilina), Venezuela (Trotamundos), Iran (Gorgan), PBA (Cent.Illinois D.) and Libya (Ahly Benghazi). he was voted Asia-Basket.com All-Iranian Superleague Player of the Year in 2019, 2021, 2022 and 2023.
It's very possible he may end his playing career at Tabiat.
He is a former
Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league on the market.
Petty graduated from University of Texas Rio Grande Valley in 2011 and it will be his 14th (!!!) season as a professional player. He played for other colleges like: Santa Clara University, Allen County Community College.
