Defending champion Tabiat (Superleague) added to their roster 33-year old Croatian ex-international power forward Ivan Buva (207cm-1991) for season 2024-25. Buva played last season at Tezenis Scaligera Verona in Italian Serie A2. In 10 games he recorded very impressive stats: 24.7ppg, 9.3rpg and 1.6apg. He helped them to make it to the semifinals. Good season as he was named League Player of the Week. Buva also played for Grouses in Japanese B1 League where in 33 games he averaged remarkable 18.3ppg, 9.9rpg and 1.6apg.
He was also a member of Croatian international program for some years. Buva played for Croatian Senior National Team between 2017 and 2018 and previously for U20 National Team back in 2011.
He represented Croatia at the European Championship (FIBA EuroBasket) seven years ago. His stats at that event were 2 games: 6.5ppg, 3.0rpg.
Buva is quite experienced player. He has played also professionally in Bosnia (Siroki), China (Anhui Wenyi), France (Monaco and JL Bourg), Lithuania (Rytas), Spain (Surne Bilbao), Turkey (Besiktas, Gaziantep and Istanbul Buyuksehir Belediyesi), Croatia (Cedevita, HAKK Mladost Zagreb and Krizevci) and Japan (Lakestars).
