Pablo Bertone (ex Dresden) joins Stjarnan

Defending champion Stjarnan (Subway League) agreed terms with experienced 35-year old Italian-Argentinian shooting guard Pablo Bertone (190cm-90kg-1990, college: FAU) for the new 2025-26 season. He played last season at Dresden Titans in German ProA. In 28 games, he had 8.4ppg, 2.2rpg, and 2.2apg. The previous (2023-24) season, he played at U.D. Oliveirense (Liga Betclic) in the Portuguese league.
He is a very experienced player. Bertone's career allowed him to visit three different continents, while he played in six different countries. Bertone tasted the life as a pro basketball player in Europe, Latin America and of course North America. He has played professionally in Argentina (Lanus and Instituto), Germany, Italy (Openjobmetis Varese, Pesaro, Ferrara and Tortona), Portugal, Spain (Palma Fibwi) and Iceland (Haukar and Valur).
In 2023, Bertone's team won the Icelandic Cup. He was voted to Eurobasket.com All-Icelandic League Honorable Mention in 2023.
He graduated from Florida Atlantic University in 2014 and it'll be his 12th (!!!) season as a pro player.
