Duna Aszfalt-DTKH Kecskemet (A Division) added 27-year-old American guard Maliek White (190cm-86kg-1998, college: Providence) to their roster. He started the season at Kozuv in the North Macedonian Super League. In 8 games, he recorded 11.1ppg, 3.4rpg, 5.0apg, and 2.0spg. He helped them reach the North Macedonian Cup Semifinals. Last season, he played for HKK Siroki Brijeg (Division I) in the Bosnia and Herzegovina league. White also played for BK KVIS Pardubice (NBL) in the Czech Republic league. He briefly played for KB Bashkimi Prizren (Superliga) in the Kosovan league.
He is quite an experienced player. White's career allowed him to visit three different continents, while he played in six different countries. White tasted the life as a pro basketball player in Europe, Latin America, and of course North America. He has played professionally in Bosnia, Georgia (Rustavi), Kosovo, Lithuania (Neptunas), Mexico (Caballeros de Culiacan), and Hungary (Kormend, Sopron KC, and Atomeromu).
Among many awards, he was voted to Eurobasket.com All-Hungarian League Honorable Mention back in 2022.
White graduated from Providence College in 2020 and is currently in his sixth season as a professional player.
