Defending champion NHSZ-Szolnoki Olajbanyasz (A Division) signed 26-year-old Polish ex-international 208cm power forward Szymon Wojcik (college: UMBC). He was set to play at Falco-Vulcano Energia KC Szombathely (A Division). He played in three leagues this year. In 11 A Division games, he averaged 10.4ppg and 5.5rpg. Wojcik also played 8 games in FIBA Europe Cup, averaging 6.1ppg and 3.3rpg. He also had 1 game in Basketball Champions League, where he scored 14 points, grabbed 4 rebounds, made 2 steals, and blocked 1 shot. Last season, he played at Wilki Morskie (OBL) in Poland.
He has also played professionally in France, Holland (ZZ Leiden), and Poland (Zastal and Czarni). His team made it to the Polish Cup Finalist in 2025 final.
Wojcik was named to the AEC All-Tournament Team in 2022.
He graduated from University of Maryland - Baltimore County in 2022 and is in his fourth season in pro basketball. Wojcik played for other colleges such as Northwest Florida State College and Missouri State University.
