Onvo Buyukcekmece Basketbol (BSL) landed 23-year old Dutch international 191cm point guard Keye Van Der Vuurst for new season. Van Der Vuurst played most recently at Hiopos Forca Lleida in Spanish Liga Endesa. In 11 games he averaged 9.2ppg, 1.6rpg and 4.3apg last season. He also played for Joventut (Liga Endesa) where in four games he had just 2.5ppg and 1.8apg. Van Der Vuurst also played 8 games in Eurocup where he recorded only 2.3ppg.
He has been also a member of Dutch international program for some years. Van Der Vuurst has regularly played for Dutch senior team since 2018 and previously for U16 National Team back in 2017.
He represented Holland at the European Championship (FIBA EuroBasket) U18 Division B in Skopje (North Macedonia) seven years ago. His team won Gold and his stats at that event were 8 games: 12.4ppg, 2.9rpg, APG-2(5.8), FGP: 63.3%, 3PT: 40.0%, FT: 68.4%.
Van Der Vuurst has played previously professionally also in Belgium (Oostende and Gistel Oostende).
He was voted to Belgian All-Star Game back in 2020.
