Andorra inks Sekou Doumbouya, ex Roanne

MoraBanc Andorra (Liga Endesa) agreed terms with 23-year old French-Guinean forward Sekou Doumbouya (202cm-2000) for the new 2024-25 season. He was the top scorer at Chorale de Roanne Basket in the French Betclic ELITE ProA last season, where in 13 games he had very impressive stats: 21.2ppg and 4.9rpg. He was also named League Player of the Week.
In 2019, he was selected by the Detroit Pistons (NBA) in the first round (15th overall) of the draft.
Doumbouya represented France at the European Championships (FIBA EuroBasket) U18 in Samsun (Turkey) eight years ago. He was the best scorer at the tournament with almost 18 points per game, while he helped his team to win Gold.
He is a quite experienced player. Doumbouya has played professionally in France (Monaco and Poitiers), the NBA (LA Lakers), Greece (Maroussi), France, and the NBA G League (South Bay Lakers, Delaware Blue Coats, and Grand Rapids Gold).
He won the NBA G League championship title in 2023.
