Club Joventut Badalona (Liga Endesa) has added 29-year-old Guinean-American ex-international point guard Shannon Evans II (185cm-80kg-1994, college: Arizona State) to their roster. Evans started the season with the Shougang Beijing Ducks in the Chinese CBA league, where he averaged 13.5ppg, 4.7rpg, 5.5apg, and 1.5spg in 11 games. Last season, he played for Valencia and appeared in 18 games in the Spanish Liga Endesa, averaging 7.0ppg, 1.4rpg, and 2.1apg. He also helped Valencia reach the Supercup semifinals and was named League Player of the Week. Evans briefly played for another Spanish team, Real Betis Sevilla. He represented the Guinean Senior National Team from 2021 to 2022.
He's a highly experienced player, having played professionally in France (Pau Lacq Orthez), Hungary (Atomeromu), and Turkey (Bahcesehir).
His college team won the MAC Tournament in 2015, among many awards. In 2020, he was voted Eurobasket.com All-Hungarian League Guard of the Year.
He graduated from Arizona State in 2018, and this is his sixth season as a professional player. He also played for The University of Buffalo for 2 years.
