The US-Panamanian player Akil Mitchell (206-C-1992, college: Virginia), together with the agent Daryl T. Graham, filed claims against the Greek club AEK Athens (AEK B.C.) for outstanding salaries, a games-played bonus, an unpaid agent fee and interest from the 2022-23 season. Deciding ex aequo et bono, the Arbitrator ordered AEK to pay Mitchell USD 30,000 net in outstanding salary for March and April 2023 plus 5% interest, together with a USD 10,000 net bonus for games played plus interest. The Arbitrator dismissed his claim for May and June 2023 salaries, finding that the contract had automatically terminated three days after the club's last game of the season and that the player had since signed with the Puerto Rican club Grises de Humacao without disclosing his new earnings. The club was further ordered to pay Graham his outstanding agent fee of USD 7,500 plus VAT and interest, along with a share of the arbitration costs and a contribution to legal fees.
