Summary of the Case:
The US American player Hummer Ian (201-PF-1990, college: Princeton), together with the agency Entersport, LLC. (USA), filed claims against the Greek club AEK Athens (AEK NEA KAE 2014) arising from a settlement agreement that covered unpaid salaries from the 2021/2022 season. The claimants sought the outstanding salary, contractual late-penalty fees, an unpaid agent fee and interest. The club did not participate on the merits. Deciding ex aequo et bono, the Arbitrator ordered AEK to pay Hummer USD 34,000 net in outstanding salary plus 5% interest, together with EUR 34,000 net in late penalties (reduced from the EUR 54,100 claimed, as a capped contractual penalty), and to pay Entersport its outstanding agent fee of USD 2,900 net plus interest, along with a share of the arbitration costs and the non-reimbursable handling fee.
