Mitrou-Long re-signs at Aris

Elijah Mitrou-Long

Aris Betsson Thessaloniki (GBL) confirmed in their roster 29-year old Canadian point guard Elijah Mitrou-Long (185cm-86kg-1996, college: UNLV) for the new 2026-27 season. He is the second foreign player in the roster, as French Amine Noua signed here earlier. Mitrou-Long played there last season. In 26 GBL games, he had 13.0ppg, 3.1rpg, 4.0apg, and 1.4spg. He also played 18 games in Eurocup, where he recorded 11.0ppg, 2.8rpg, 3.4apg, and 1.1spg.
During the 2024-25 season, he split time between Openjobmetis Varese (Serie A) in the Italian league and Hapoel Holon (Winner League) in the Israeli league.
He is quite an experienced player. Mitrou-Long has played professionally in Bulgaria (Levski), Israel, Italy, Greece (Peristeri, PAOK Mateco Thessaloniki, and Apollon Patras), and Canada (River Lions and Honey Badgers).
In 2024, his team reached the Greek League Semifinals. In 2025, he was voted to Eurobasket.com All-Israeli League Honorable Mention.
Mitrou-Long graduated from the University of Nevada - Las Vegas in 2020 and is entering his seventh season as a professional player. He also played for other colleges such as The University of Texas and Mount Saint Mary's University.
