Isaiah Ross (ex Psychikou) is a newcomer at Whai

Tauranga Whai (NBL) added to their roster 29-year old American swingman Isaiah Ross (193cm-91kg-1996, college: Iona). He moved there from Psychikou in Greek Elite League. In 9 games he recorded very impressive stats: 16.8ppg, 2.9rpg and 2.0apg last season. He also played for Hermine Nantes Atlantique (ProB) in French league. The other team he played shortly was Union Atletica Montevideo (LUB) in Uruguayan league.
In 2021 he was drafted by Mine Celtics (G-League) in first round (18th overall).
The former Iona College standout is in his fifth season in pro basketball.
He is quite experienced player. Thanks to his pro career he managed to play on three different continents (Europe, Latin America and of course North America) in eight different countries. He has played professionally in Finland (Nokia), France (Chorale de Roanne), Kosovo (Trepca), Poland (Spojnia), Switzerland (Lugano), Uruguay and NBA G League (Santa Cruz Warriors and Osceola Magic).
Among many awards Ross' team won Kosovo Supercup in 2024. Ross was voted to Eurobasket.com Swiss SBL All-Imports Team back in 2023. He played also for University of Missouri - Kansas City for 2 years.
