Koblenz inks Dragos Diculescu

Dragos Diculescu

EPG Guardians Koblenz (ProA) agreed terms with 26-year old Romanian international swingman Dragos Diculescu (196cm-1999, agency: One Motive Sports) for the new 2026-27 season. He played last season at Koping Stars in Swedish Basketligan. In 29 games, he had very impressive stats: 16.1ppg, 5.7rpg, and 4.1apg. The 2025-26 season was great as he was named to Eurobasket.com All-Swedish League All-Bosmans Team. In the previous (2024-25) season, he played at Kangaroos (ProB).
He has been a member of the Romanian international program for some years. He has regularly played for the Romanian senior team since 2018 and previously for the Under 20 National Team in 2019.
Diculescu also represented Romania at the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2027 European Pre-Qualifiers last year. During this event, he scored an average of 7.6 points per game and had 3.8 rebounds per game.
He is a quite experienced player. Diculescu has played between Holland (Zwolle), Iceland (Hamar), and Romania (Timisoara, Craiova, CSM Steaua Bucuresti, and Constanta).
Among many awards, he was also voted Eurobasket.com All-Romanian League Most Improved Player of the Year back in 2019.
