Mattisseck re-signs at ALBA Berlin

Jonas Mattisseck

ALBA Berlin (BBL) confirmed in their roster 26-year old international shooting guard Jonas Mattisseck (193cm-84kg-2000) for the upcoming 2026-27 season. He has played there for the last eight seasons. The team played in three different competitions that year, and he had a chance to explore basketball on different levels. In 34 BBL games, he recorded 5.9ppg, 2.5rpg, 1.3apg, and 1.1spg last season. He helped them to make it to the cup final. Good season as he was named League Player of the Week. Mattisseck also played 13 games in Basketball Champions League where he averaged 3.2ppg, 2.1rpg, 1.8apg, and 1.3spg. He contributed to his team making it to the quarterfinals.
Mattisseck has been a member of the German international program for some years. He has regularly played for the German senior team since 2019 and previously for the Under 18 National Team in 2018.
Mattisseck has played previously for four other teams: Lichterfelde, SSV Lok Bernau, ALBA 2, and ALBA 3.
Among many awards, Mattisseck's team won the German League Regular Season in 2022. He was voted to Eurobasket.com All-European Championship (FIBA EuroBasket) U18 Honorable Mention back in 2018.
