Nils Machowski commits to UConn

Nils Machowski

The University of Connecticut signed 21-year-old German guard Nils Machowski (6'3''-183lbs). The Berlin native moved there from Wofford College, where he spent his junior year. In 29 games last season, he had very impressive stats: 18.0ppg, 5.9rpg, and 2.6apg. Machowski's team ended the regular season as the second-best place in SoCon in 2026. He was also voted to the All-Southern Conference Second Team.
He played at ALBA Berlin U18 team between 2020-22, ALBA Berlin during 2021-22, SSV Lokomotive Bernau during 2022-23, ALBA Berlin U19 team during 2022-23, and then at University of Central Florida for two seasons. Machowski helped his team make it to the Adidas Next Generation Tournament in Ljubljana Semifinals in 2022. He was also selected to Eurobasket.com All-NBBL Honorable Mention that year. His team won German 2.Bundesliga Pro B (Group North) Regular Season Championship in 2023. Machowski helped his team make it to the German Cup Semifinals that year.
