Newly promoted BC Rustavi 1991 (Superleague) signed 28-year-old American 185cm guard Colin Slater (college: LBSU). He most recently played for Niki Volou in the Greek Elite League, where he averaged 18.3ppg, 4.0rpg, 5.3apg, and 1.7spg in three games this season. Slater has also played for another Greek team, ASA Koroivos Amaliadas (Elite League).
Slater is a very experienced player, having played professionally in Finland (Honka), Greece (AS Vikos Ioanninon and Mykonos), Turkey (Bornova), and North Macedonia (Kozuv and Gostivar).
Among many awards, his team won the Big West Regular Season in 2022. Slater received the All-Big West Player of the Year award and was named to the Big West All-Tournament Team during 2022.
Slater graduated from Long Beach State University in 2022 and is in his fourth season in pro basketball. He also played for Tulane University for 2 years.
