Nikkarinen comes back to Seagulls, ex H.Kralove

Helsinki Seagulls (Korisliiga) strengthened their roster with the addition of 29-year-old Finnish ex-international point guard Lassi Nikkarinen (188cm-82kg-1997, college: Montana State) for the 2026-27 season. It is actually his comeback to Helsinki as he has played here before. He played most recently at H.Kralove in the NBL league in the Czech Republic. In 21 games, he recorded 9.1ppg, 1.9rpg, 6.6apg, and 1.3spg last season. Nikkarinen also played for Flexicar Fuenlabrada Madrid (Primera FEB) in the Spanish league.
He was also a member of the Finnish international program for some years. Nikkarinen played for Finnish Senior National Team between 2022 and 2023 and previously for the Under 18 National Team in 2015.
He has played for Nokia before.
Among many awards, he played in the final of the Finnish League in 2024. Nikkarinen was also voted the Eurobasket.com All-Finnish League Domestic Player of the Year in 2025.
He graduated from Montana State in 2019 and this will be his eighth season as a pro player.
