B.C. Zalgiris Kaunas (LKL) confirmed in their roster 33-year old German international point guard Maodo Lo (191cm-83kg-1992, college: Columbia) for the upcoming 2026-27 season. He is the second foreign player in the roster as USA Dustin Sleva signed here earlier. He played there last season. In 17 LKL games, he had 6.5ppg, 1.7rpg, and 2.9apg. He helped them to win the cup. He also played 41 games in Euroleague where he recorded 7.0ppg, 1.9rpg, and 2.4apg.
During the 2024-25 season, he split time between Paris Basket (Betclic ELITE ProA) in the French league and Armani Milano (Serie A) in the Italian league.
Lo has tried to make it to the NBA and played in the NBA Pro Summer League in 2016.
He has also been a member of the German international program for some years. Lo has regularly played for the German senior team since 2014 and previously for the Under 20 National Team in 2011.
He also represented Germany at the FIBA Olympic Games in Paris (France) two years ago. His team got to the Semifinals and he averaged almost 1 point per game.
Lo is a highly experienced player. He has played professionally in France, Italy, Germany (ALBA Berlin, Bamberg, and Bayern Muenchen), and Russia (UNICS Kazan).
Among many awards, he was voted to Eurobasket.com All-Euroleague Honorable Mention back in 2022.
Lo graduated from Columbia University in 2016 and is entering his eleventh (!!!) season as a professional player.
