Charleroi adds Smith to their roster, ex Arriva P.Cukier

Arik Smith

Val-Dieu Spirou Basket Charleroi added 32-year old American shooting guard Arik Smith to their roster. He moved there from Arriva P.Cukier in Polish OBL league where he played this season, but it seems he will not stay with that team after all. In 26 OBL games, he recorded 10.3ppg, 1.6rpg, 3.1apg, and 1.1spg. He also played for another Polish team Twarde Pierniki.
Smith is a highly experienced player, having played professionally in Estonia (Kalev/Cramo), Italy (Ostuni, Fabriano, and Sora), Slovakia (Slovan), Sweden (Umea), Belgium (Belfius Mons Hainaut), and The Basketball Tournament (We are D3).
Smith played in the final of the Belgian League in 2021. He was voted to Eurobasket.com All-Belgian League Honorable Mention in 2020.
He graduated from California Lutheran University in 2015 and is currently in his eleventh (!!!) season as a professional player. Smith also played for the University of Wisconsin at River Falls for one year.
