Defending champion BC Kalev/Cramo Tallinn (KML) inked 28-year old American 204cm center Tommy Rutherford (college: UC Irvine) for upcoming season. Rutherford played this summer at Eberlein Drive (The Basketball Tournament) in the U.S. In 6 TBT games just recently he recorded 8.5ppg and 5.3rpg.
The most of last season he spent at Cruise in U.S. NBA-G-League where in 26 games he averaged 6.2ppg and 5.0rpg. He also played for Lakers in U.S. NBA-G-League. In two games he had 9.0ppg and 4.5rpg.
Last year (four years after his graduation) he was drafted by Santa Cruz Warriors (G-League) in first round (20th overall).
The former University of California - Irvine star is in his sixth season in pro basketball.
Rutherford is a very experienced player. He has played also professionally in Holland (ZZ Leiden), Lithuania (Neptunas), Luxembourg (Racing) and Switzerland (Starwings).
