Spanish Basketball Academy inks Jaan Puidet

Spanish Basketball Academy (1Div) has agreed terms with 33-year-old Estonian ex-international shooting guard Jaan Puidet (192cm-90kg-1992, agency: Players Group) for the new 2025-26 season. He is the second foreign player in the roster, with Austrian Francis Chavez having signed earlier. Puidet has played for the last five seasons at UEMC Real Valladolid Baloncesto in the Primera FEB, where he averaged 3.7ppg, 3.7rpg, and 1.4apg in 30 games last season. The move to 1Div will provide him with a better match and more playing time.
He was also a member of the Estonian international program for some years. He played for Estonian Senior National Team between 2015 and 2022 and previously for the Under 20 National Team back in 2012.
Puidet has played in Estonia, Latvia, and Sweden. He has played for teams such as Kalev/Cramo, TalTech, Kuremaa SK, BC Kalev/Cramo Tallinn 2nd team, and Tallinn Technical Univ. Spordiklubi 2nd team during his career. He also played for Jamtland in Sweden.
In 2023, his team reached the LEB Oro Play-Off Semifinals. He received the Eurobasket.com All-Swedish Basketligan Honorable Mention in 2020.
