Nigel Hawkins (ex Anorthosis) is a newcomer at Lions

London Lions (SLB) strengthened their roster with the addition of 25-year-old American shooting guard Nigel Hawkins (192cm-87kg-2000, college: SF Austin). He started the season at Anorthosis in Cypriot ECOMMBX BL. In 11 games, he recorded very impressive stats: 15.2ppg, 3.5rpg, and 2.0apg. He also played 8 games in FIBA Europe Cup, where he averaged a remarkable 21.3ppg, 6.1rpg, 3.1apg, and 1.0spg. Last season, he played at Spisski Rytieri Nova Ves (Tipos SBL) in the Slovakian league.
Thanks to his pro career, Hawkins has played on three different continents - Europe, Latin America, and North America. He has played professionally in Mexico for Pioneros Los Mochis and in Slovakia.
In addition to making it to the League Semifinals in 2025, he was also part of the UIL Boys Basketball State Conference 6A All-Tournament Team in 2017 during high school.
Hawkins graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University in 2023 and is in his third season as a professional player. He also played for The University of Texas at El Paso for 2 years.
