Defending champion KK Zadar (Premijer Liga) landed 30-year old North Macedonian international 197cm swingman Adem Mekic, agency: 011 Sports. It is actually his comeback to Zadar as he has played here before. He started the season at Bora in Kosovan Superliga. In 14 games he averaged 11.1ppg, 4.8rpg, 4.4apg and 1.4spg. He also played 1 game in Liga Unike where he had 7 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists and 1 steal.
Mekic represented North Macedonia at the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2027 European Pre-Qualifiers last year. During this event, he scored an average of 7.5 points per game and had 3.5 rebounds per game.
He has played in Romania (Timisoara) and North Macedonia (MZT Skopje, Pelister, KK Kumanovo 2009, Vardar, and KK TFT Skopje) as well.
Between 2020 and 2024, Mekic's team won the Croatian Cup. Mekic was voted to the Eurobasket.com North Macedonian League All-Domestic Players Team in 2020.
