Braian Angola-Rodas

Draemland Gran Canaria (Liga Endesa) agreed terms with 31-year old Colombian ex-international swingman Braian Angola-Rodas (198cm-88kg-1994, college: FSU) for new 2025-26 season. Angola-Rodas is the second import player in the roster as South Sudanese Kur Kuath signed here earlier.
He played last season at Turk Telekom in Turkish BSL league. In 24 games he had 13.4ppg, 4.7rpg and 4.8apg. He also played 11 games in Eurocup where he recorded very impressive stats: 16.1ppg, 3.2rpg, 2.9apg and 1.3spg. He helped them to make it to the quarterfinals. The other team he played shortly was Hapoel Tel Aviv in Israeli league. But in only one Eurocup game he did not score anything.
Angola-Rodas was a member of Colombian international program for some years. He was called to Colombian Senior National Team between 2016 and 2023 and previously for U18 National Team back in 2012.
Angola-Rodas is quite experienced player. He has played also professionally in Belgium (Oostende), Greece (AEK Betsson), Serbia (Partizan), Israel (Ironi Nes Ziona), NBA G League (Osceola Magic) and NBA Summer League (Orlando Magic). Angola-Rodas played in the final of NJCAA D1 Region XVIII in 2015 and 2016.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others he was voted to Eurobasket.com Turkish League All-Imports Team in 2023.
He graduated from Florida State University in 2018 and it will be his eighth season as a professional player. Angola-Rodas played also for North Idaho College for 2 years.
