Maccabi Raanana (Winner League) agreed terms with 28-year old American guard Javion Hamlet (193cm-87kg-1998, college: N.Texas). He moved there from Tianjin Pioneers in Chinese CBA league where he played this season. In 33 games he had very impressive stats: 21.8ppg, 3.2rpg and 5.8apg. He was also named League Player of the Week. Last season summer he played at another Chinese team Rhino (NBL) in Chinese league.
Hamlet is a seasoned player who has played in five different countries on three different continents (Europe, Asia, and North America). He has played professionally in France (ALM Evreux), the United Kingdom (Newcastle Eagles), Israel (Bnei Hertzeliya), and the NBA G League (Texas Legends).
Between his college team winning the C-USA Tournament in 2021, he was voted to Eurobasket.com All-British BBL Honorable Mention during 2023.
He graduated from the University of North Texas in 2021 and is in his fifth season as a professional player. Hamlet played for other colleges such as Northwest Florida State College and Motlow State College.
