Richard Solomon

HK JinNiu (NBL) signed 33-year-old USA ex-international 208cm center Richard Solomon (college: California). He began the season with Nanjing Monkey Kings (CBA), where he averaged 7.6ppg, 7.5rpg, 1.5apg, and 1.3spg in 23 games. NBL will provide a better opportunity for him to showcase his skills and receive more playing time. Last summer, he competed for Beirut Club (LBL) in the Lebanese league.
He was a member of the USA international program for several years. Solomon was called to the USA Senior National Team in 2018 and previously to the Under 19 National Team in 2011.
He is a very experienced player. Solomon has traveled extensively during his pro career, playing in ten different countries on three different continents (Europe, Asia, and North America). He has played professionally in France (JDA Dijon and Gravelines Dunkerque), Japan (Alvark and Grouses), Lebanon, Russia (Zenit and Parma-Pari), Turkey (Usak, Bahcesehir, and Bodrum), NBA (Atlanta Hawks and OKC Thunder), NBA G League (OKC Blue), NBA Summer League (Toronto Raptors), and The Basketball Tournament (LA Cheaters and Solomonartfire).
Among many awards, he was voted to Eurobasket.com All-VTB League Honorable Mention in 2024.
He graduated from the University of California in 2014 and is currently in his twelfth season in pro basketball.
